Take That have sealed their comeback success, holding the singles top spot and taking number one in the UK album chart.

The reformed boyband's 'Patience' single held Akon at second place for a second week while their record Beautiful World made its entry at the top.

Gennaro Castaldo of HMV paid tribute to their success. "To land a number 1 single and album in the same week is a feat that eludes most artists," he commented. "For Take That to pull it off after more than ten years away is truly amazing."

No new entries made the top 10 but offerings from Booty Luv, Nelly Furtado, The Fratellis and Muse all entered from below.

Another new entry in the album chart, Il Divo's Siempre, took second place, pushing Oasis's Stop The Clocks to third.
