Alicia Keys has previewed her new single 'Girl On Fire' in a promo for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.
Keys is set to debut the song with a performance at the VMAs on Thursday, September 6.
"My hands are on the keys. Tonight you will feel the power of my voice. Watch me reveal what's within. I'll show you everything. This is the moment," narrates Keys.
She then belts out: "This girl is on fire/ This girl is on fire."
The track serves as the lead single to her upcoming fifth studio album of the same name, to be released on November 26 in the UK and November 27 in the US.
"Girl on Fire is about new beginnings, new perspectives and fresh starts... stripping away all the bad energy in your life and taking full control of the reins and how you want to live," Keys said about her new record.
