In an interview with The Guardian, the 'Isn't She Lovely' singer said that their collaboration would have been "amazing"

"I understand Amy came to my concert in England a couple of years ago," he said.
"I was thinking about us doing a duet - an old Marvin and Mary Wells song called 'Once Upon a Time'. It would have been amazing."
Wonder also said that had he managed to meet Winehouse, he would have tried to convince her to get help.
"Obviously I knew Michael [Jackson and] I knew Whitney [Houston], too," he added. "[The last few years have] been a heartbreak," he said, referring to both stars' deaths as a result of drug abuse.
When asked if he thought there was any point people trying to intervene in such situations, he replied: "There's always a point."
