The concert is scheduled to take place on June 16 of next year and will be played to an audience of over 75,000 people.
The move marks a significant upgrade in concert size for the trio, who have recently finished an arena tour, but they reportedly feel that it is the right move for them.
Lead singer Matt Bellamy told NME, "It feels right for us to play this venue. We're ready for this kind of thing."
According to Gigwise, a string of high profile support acts are expected to be announced some time in the new year.
