The singer admitted that she is currently working on a movie script and is happy to "stay there... for a long time".
"When I was starting, I had a vision of being a writer for film and that's what I am doing now. I'm so happy," she told Vogue Australia.
"Hopefully I will branch into film work and stay there. That will be my happy place. I'd like to stay in one place for a long time."
Del Rey recently confessed that she still suffers from stage fright, adding: "When I get on stage that's not my element."
She is scheduled to play the iTunes Festival on September 25. Meanwhile, a repackaged 'Paradise Edition' of her Born To Die album follows in November.
