'Die Young' will serve as the lead track from the 'Tik Tok' star's upcoming second studio album.
"I'm really happy to announce my new single. It's called 'Die Young' and it's coming out this month," Ke$ha told MTV at the VMAs.
She previously teased that her new album is coming soon, following the release of her 2010 debut Animal and follow-up EP Cannibal.
"The first two records talked more about partying, which is a great, magical part of life, but some songs on the new record are more personal and vulnerable," she said.
"And you can hear more of the music I listen to when I'm lying in my bed. I'm not claiming that it's a rock record - but as long as it's f**king good, you can call it whatever you want. On this record, I said, 'Let's leave the tricks to a minimum and let me wail'."
Ke$ha also revealed that she is now "really close" with the Flaming Lips after she worked with them on her new album. Iggy Pop will also feature on the project.
