McFly vow not to release album of covers

The singers have insisted that they will never release an album of covers, although they have recorded over 20 versions of other people's songs in the past.
"We've done lots of cover versions but it's not something we'd do on an album," lead singer Danny Jones told the Daily Record. "We only really sing them for TV and stuff like that when we get specially asked, but we wouldn't do what Westlife have done and bring out an album.
"We just like to be a band who writes our own stuff. We want to be seen as a proper band like Oasis."
