McFly have announced plans to release a new single later this year.
The band will unveil new cut 'Love Is Easy' in the UK before the end of 2012, but added that the track will be a stand-alone release.
"It was only written two, three weeks ago," Tom Fletcher told Billboard. "So it's brand new."
Asked if it would feature on their next album, he replied: "It will be coming out in the UK around Christmas time. It won't be on the next album."
The band then revealed that it will be a special stand-alone release, but did not mention any further details.
McFly are currently in New York after playing four sold-out shows in the US.
The group's fifth studio album Above the Noise was certified Gold in the UK and spawned the hit single 'Shine a Light'.
