The event, which will take place on Wednesday, December 5, is traditionally broadcast on CBS and is used as a means of announcing selected nominees for the annual music industry awards ceremony.

A message posted to the official Grammys Twitter feed read: "It's that time of year again! We're excited to announce the 1st performer for the GRAMMY Nominations concert on 12/5... @Maroon5!
"Stay tuned tomorrow morning (September 19) for more info about the upcoming GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!"
This year's Grammy Nominations Concert will move from Los Angeles to Nashville, in a move which Recording Academy president Neil Portnow said had been taken to add "flavour" to proceedings.
"There's probably no city more renowned as a music centre in America and probably the world than Nashville, Tennessee. We have had a great experience with the city of Nashville as an organisation," he explained.
