A specially-curated new mash-up of DJ Shadow's 'I Gotta Rokk' from Stereo:Type and Irn Mnky has been made available for free download.
The mix was commissioned by Xfm's Eddy Temple-Morris and aired on Xfm's The Remix show last Friday (September 21).
The reworking mixes the original beats with samples from Guns N' Roses, The Prodigy and Led Zeppelin.
"The reason I asked Stereo:Type for this DJ Shadow mix was simple," Morris said.
"Stereo:Type was the author of, without a word of exaggeration, the best mix anyone has ever done for the Remix show in my near 13-year tenure at Xfm.
"My approaching Chris Stereo:Type came with DJ Shadow's blessing too, and the man himself acknowledged Chris as a kindred spirit and sonic perfectionist."
Stereo:Type said: "A little reworking I knocked up. As heard in my mix to promote DJ Shadow's Reconstructed: Best of release. Here is a full length DJ Version.
"The entire 30-minute DJ mix should be going up on the DJ Shadow SoundCloud real soon..."
Morris and Stereo:Type headline the Crossfire Halloween Massacre at the Battersea Barge on October 27.
