Pink scores first Billboard number one album with 'Truth About Love'

Pink has scored her first number one album in the US with The Truth About Love.

The singer's sixth record entered at the top of the Billboard Hot 200 tally, shifting 280,000 copies in its first sales week.

The figure gives her the third-highest opening sales for an album this year, behind Justin Bieber's Believe on 374,000 and Madonna's MDNA with 359,000.

The star beats Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music LP Cruel Summer, which debuts at two with sales of 205,000, while The Killers complete the top three with Battle Born on 113,000.

Elsewhere, Carly Rae Jepsen lands at six with Kiss, Grizzly Bear take seventh place with Shields, and Ben Folds Five bows at ten with The Sound of the Life of the Mind.

Pink recently announced dates for 25 shows across North America, as well as four arena shows in the UK next April.
