"The Pogues reunite once again for the ultimate seasonal send-off to get everyone in the festive spirit," said organisers.

"Only a Pogues gig can create the party atmosphere of St Patrick's Day in December with their unique mix of traditional Irish folk, punk and classic songwriting."

Fronted by Shane MacGowan, The Pogues formed in 1982.

Their 1987 single 'Fairytale of New York', performed with Kirsty MacColl, reached No. 2 in the charts on release and has since become a seasonal standard, frequently charting in the top 20 around Christmas.

MacGowan left the band in 1991 and they continued with replacement singers Spider Stacy and Joe Strummer until they split in 1996. The band reunited with MacGowan in 2001.
