The LP - out November 12 and a day later in the US - will also be released in an A5 "yearbook" format, which includes pictures of each member of the band.

The album's lead single 'Live While We're Young' is currently battling for a place at the top of the singles chart with Rihanna's 'Diamonds' and Psy's 'Gangnam Style'.

The track's accompanying music video beat Justin Bieber's previous record for the most views 24 hours after its release, which totalled 8.24 million.

The record was recently described as being similar to their debut Up All Night by songwriter Savan Kotecha, who added: "The idea was to kind of continue the whole fun, 'What Makes You Beautiful' kind of vibe – but maybe make the lyrics a bit more naughty."
