The Rinse FM founder and producer - who discovered and launched Katy B - admitted that they will work on the collection right up until the deadline.
"It'll be done by the end of the year," he told The Guardian. "We'll work right up till the last day, because sometimes it's on the last day that you come up with a track."
Speaking about her career and team, Katy B added: "I always think of Katy B as a band.
"There's me and Geeneus, and it was Rinse's idea. I had the drive for music, but it wasn't the internet or YouTube that broke it for me. Rinse gave me the break."
Katy B has been performing new track 'Hot Like Fire' during her summer festival sets, but it has not yet been confirmed if the track will feature on her second studio album.
