Fans of Sir Cliff Richard have voted 'Miss You Nights' their favourite of his singles.
The song eclipsed the competition in a poll of Radio 2 listeners despite only reaching number 15 when it charted in 1976. It was picked by twice as many fans as the closest competition in a top 20 that includes nine number ones.
In the survey of 20,000 listeners classics such as 'Living Doll' and 'The Young Ones' were relegated to 14th and 15th positions, while number ones including 'Travellin' Light' and 'Please Don't Tease' did not even make the list.
Sir Cliff said of the winner: "It has been a joy for me to sing over the years."
