Queen have beaten the Beatles in a radio poll to find the greatest British band of all time.
More than 20,000 BBC Radio 2 listeners voted for one of the five finalists which also included The Rolling Stones, Oasis and Take That.
Just 400 votes separated the top two who were judged on song writing, live performances, originality and entertainment in a live vote.
The last five were picked over the week before DJ Mark Goodier hosted a three-hour live final on New Year's Day. Celebrity guests including members of McFly joined the show to debate who should win.
Former Queen frontman Freddie Mercury died from an AIDS related illness in 1991 but the band have continued and ex-Free singer Paul Rodgers took over as lead singer in since 2004. Guitarist Brian May said last year that the group were planning to record together.
