Joss Stone threatened to quit the music industry after growing tired of recording songs she didn't like.
The singer told her manager that she would retire if she wasn't given greater control over the style of her third album.
"It's no secret that I don't really like my first two albums," Joss explained. "I told my manager: 'Let me make the album I want to or I'll quit and start a new life.'"
Stone's new album Introducing Joss Stone will be released in March.
