Pop singer Mika has reportedly recorded an acoustic version of his single 'Grace Kelly' using a piano that once belonged to Freddie Mercury.
According to The Mirror, the Beirut-born performer had the piano shipped in for a recording session.
A source told the newspaper: "Mika was adamant that if he was going to do a stripped-down, acoustic version of his song he wanted to get inspiration from Freddie.
"He heard there was a possibilty of using the original instrument that Freddie wrote most of Queen's classics on and he said that he'd move mountains to get his hands on it."
The piano, which is valued at over £1 million, was brought to a London recording studio from a secure storage unit where it was being held.
The source went on: "He felt totally inspired. He felt the spirit of Freddie surround him and Mika said he felt more creative than he ever had.
"He's a legend both technically and vocally."
