Albarn explains refusal to name new band

Damon Albarn has admitted that he may be criticised for being "pretentious" because of his refusal to name his new band.
The former Blur star has teamed up with Clash bassist Paul Simonon, Verve guitarist Simon Tong and Africa 70 drummer Tony Allen for a new album called The Good, The Bad and the Queen - but the band itself has remained nameless.
"We don't have a name for the band. Isn't it sort of more important that the quality of something is inspirational - as opposed to just categorising everybody as the same thing? That’s all it really is," he told the Daily Record. "And if that’s pretentious, then I have to accept that."
