Smashing Pumpkins name album

The Smashing Pumpkins have announced the details of their upcoming album.
Entitled Zeitgeist, the LP has been given a release date of July 7. It will be the first album the band has released as a hard copy since February 2000, when Machina/The Machines Of God reached number seven in the UK chart.
An online-only record was released in September 2000, entitled Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music
The group are also touring Europe this summer, playing various festivals. It is widely speculated that they will be offered a headline slot for this year's Carling festivals at Reading and Leeds.
