Chris Cornell has quit Audioslave to concentrate on his solo career.
Following his success in writing and performing the theme to the latest Bond film, Casino Royale, Cornell has decided to pursue his own musical projects.
He released a statement detailing his decision: "Due to irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences, I am permanently leaving the band Audioslave. I wish the other three members nothing but the best in all of their future endeavours."
Cornell's new album, Carry On, will be released this May.
