The singer has longed to make a record in her family's native language, and will release Como Ama Una Mujer (How A Woman Loves) in the summer.
"I wanted to sing in Spanish from the beginning of my recording career," she reflected on the completion of the LP.
The CD was co-produced with Lopez' husband, actor Marc Anthony.
