Lionel Richie 'very excited' about UK tour

Lionel Richie made a return to the stage in Europe this week, ahead of his UK dates later this month.

The singer was recently forced to reschedule a number of UK gigs due to illness, but has now said that he is very excited about the upcoming shows, which include two nights at London's O2 arena.

Richie said: "Being back out on the road is amazing, the crowds have been fantastic and I am very excited about heading back to the UK soon."

His tour of Europe has already visited cities such as Amsterdam and Frankfurt. The setlist includes some of his biggest hits, like 'Easy', 'Stuck On You' and 'Three Times A Lady'.

Richie's newest LP Tuskegee earned him a nomination for 'Best Country Album' at the American Music Awards.

  • December 13 - Aberdeen AECC Arena
  • December 14 - Glasgow SECC
  • December 15 - Capital FM Arena Nottingham
