Quotes given by Blunt to the Mail on Sunday - in which he said that he has not "got any plans to do more songwriting" and is considering a break from music - were interpreted by some to mean that he was thinking of leaving the industry completely.

Blunt posted on Facebook on Monday (October 22), writing: "The Mail on Sunday has reported that James Blunt has split up due to musical differences.
"Neither could be reached for comment due to recording commitments."
The singer-songwriter dropped a further hint that he is working on new material by tagging his location as Conway Recording Studios in Hollywood.
Blunt has sold over 18 million albums worldwide, and recently completed a world tour.
