"Freedom!! Blink as of today, is now an independent Artist!!!!!" Tom DeLonge tweeted.

Blink-182 are now officially unsigned, but it is not yet known whether the band will release new music independently or sign to another label.

The trio have already begun work on the follow-up to Neighborhoods, with Mark Hoppus recently telling NME: "We're starting to write the new record right now.

"We're going to tour Australia in February with Blink... [so the] proper tour and the new album probably won't happen for about a year."
