Anti-war song heading for top 10

A cover of Edwin Starr's 'War (What Is It Good For?)' by peace campaigners is heading for this week's top 10.
Organisers at an anti-Iraq rally in London at the weekend called on supporters to order the track with their mobile phones. Music Week magazine reports their idea seems to have worked, with early figures suggesting it will scale the singles chart.
The cover version has been released under the name Ugly Rumours - the same used by Tony Blair's band when he was a student. Those behind the song want it to act as a "musical referendum" on the Prime Minister's tenure in the week of the fourth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.
Ben Grey, who produced the release, explained: "We wanted to try and reach the people who might be more into watching X Factor than listening to politics.
"Marches and rallies can be dismissed and ignored but a hit record will mean everyone is talking about this issue," he added. "Imagine what a message it would send to the world if this record was number one during that anniversary."
