Minogue told Closer that she is happy with her voice, despite not having the power of other artists.
The 44-year-old said: "I will never sound like Christina Aguilera, but that's okay. I have pipes!"
The Australian star, who is is well known for her elaborate stage shows, also said that dance routines should not be seen as "easy" in comparison.
She added: "And you think strutting around on stage in seven-inch heels and a dress I can barely balance in while walking over five semi-clad men is easy? Think again!"
Meanwhile, Minogue has said that she is open to the idea of appearing as a judge on The X Factor. She said she thought the experience would be "really fulfilling", but admitted that she is "happy just watching" for the moment.
