Stereophonics announce December UK tour

Stereophonics have announced plans for a mini UK tour later this year.

The band will play five dates across the country as a special Christmas surprise for their fans, ahead of releasing a new album in spring 2013.

The shows will begin at Newport Centre on December 15 and finish at London's Troxy on December 20.

Tickets for the shows go on sale from 9am on November 2.

Earlier this month, Stereophonics released a preview of their new album in the form of a short film directed by frontman Kelly Jones.

The group have also hinted at plans to record collaborations with Tinie Tempah and Labrinth.

Stereophonics' December UK tour dates are as follows:

December 15 - Newport, Centre
December 16 - Manchester, Academy
December 17 - Glasgow, O2 Academy
December 19 - Birmingham, O2 Academy
December 20 - London, Troxy
