Ashlee Simpson previews new song 'Bat For A Heart'

Ashlee Simpson has released a teaser of her new single online.

The singer posted a clip of 'Bat For A Heart' along with a snippet of the accompanying video on her official website.

Simpson tweeted: "Happy Halloween! As promised, here's a little tease of what's to come! In this tease I do drop the F bomb so you've been warned!"

'Bat For A Heart' marks the star's first release since her 2008 album Bittersweet World, which peaked at number four in the US but stalled at 57 in the UK.

The new track and music video will premiere in full on November 21.

The 28-year-old recently praised her sister Jessica Simpson's parenting skills, adding: "There were small things here and there [I advised her on] that you ask your friends and other mothers, but other than that, she's great."
