Arctics and Girls Aloud to team up
Published Thursday, Mar 8 2007, 10:02 GMT | By David Cribb
The Arctic Monkeys are to team up with Girls Aloud for a new single.
The Sheffield band have already recorded a backing track for a song by the girl group, and soon they will meet up again to record a joint song.
Frontman Alex Turner is keeping the plans under wraps, but hinted at the direction the music would be taking: "I think it's gonna be something a bit electronic, between me and you."
The girls are equally excited about the collaboration, with Sarah Harding revealing: "I love these boys. They've got a strong future ahead of them."
The Arctics already have a small history with Girls Aloud, having covered 'Love Machine' for Jo Whiley's Live Lounge on Radio 1 last year.
