Coldplay and Jay-Z previously shared the same stage on New Year's Eve back in 2010, performing at a concert in Las Vegas.
Prior to their New Year's Eve gig, Coldplay will perform in Uncasville, Connecticut at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, December, and a Barclays Centre show on Sunday, December 30.
Coldplay's upcoming Brooklyn shows mark the first time the band have played a concert in New York City since September 2005.
Frontman Chris Martin recently said that the group are not interested in looking cool when they perform on stage.
"Whilst it might not be perceived as cool to be really enthused by the fact that people show up to hear your music - we don't give a f**k, we really love that," he said.
Tickets for the Connecticut show go on sale on Friday, November 16 at 10am ET, while sales for the Barclays Centre shows open on Saturday, November 17 at 10am ET.
