Rihanna has previewed a new track from her forthcoming album Unapologetic on Saturday Night Live.
The 24-year-old performed the ballad 'Stay' accompanied by a sparse, piano-led arrangement.
Billboard reports that before the performance on the comedy and variety show, Rihanna previewed her new album in its entirety with media and record label executives at the Jay-Z owned 40/40 Club in New York.
Rihanna recently premiered the video for the first single from Unapologetic, 'Diamonds', which she claims has overtaken 'Umbrella' as her favourite of her own singles.
The star only finished work on the new album last week. The singer posted a photo of herself emerging from a swimming pool in a bikini with the message: "We havin a celebration... WE HAVE AN ALBUM!!! #UNAPOLOGETIC."
The album also features guest spots from Eminem, Future, Mikky Ekko, and, controversially, former boyfriend Chris Brown, on a track entitled 'Nobodies Business'.
