The collection could sell anything up to 575,000 copies during its first week on sale in the US, which would make it the third fastest-selling album of 2012, according to Billboard.

It would follow Taylor Swift's Red, which sold 1.2 million copies in its first week, and Mumford & Sons' Babel, which started with 600,000 sales.

One Direction's debut album Up All Night is currently the third best-selling album in the US in 2012 so far.

This means One Direction could have two entries in the Top 10 best-selling albums in the US during 2012 by the end of the year.

The new Billboard 200 chart will be announced on the morning of November 21.
