One Direction tried to include rude lyrics on new album 'Take Me Home'

One Direction have admitted that they tried to sneak some rude lyrics onto their new album.

The boyband co-wrote a number of tracks for their second studio set Take Me Home and revealed that they would sometimes mess around when penning the songs.

"We were more involved this time round as we were so nervous when we made the first album," Liam Payne told the Daily Star.

"Usually we write some rude lyrics – there's a lot of things that rhyme with poo. You can come out with something which someone else in the band might knock down, but it leads to something else."

One Direction are on course to claim their first number one album in the UK, while analysts have predicted they will shift over 500,000 copies of the set in the US.

Take Me Home was released worldwide earlier this week and includes the singles 'Live While We're Young' and 'Little Things'.
