One Direction announced last week on Today in the US that August 2013 will see the release of their first concert film, to be directed by Morgan Spurlock.
Cowell – the 'What Makes You Beautiful' band's label boss – has now revealed that the movie will bring One Direction fans inside the group's incredible worldwide popularity.
"Well, I mean, for anyone who's a fan of the band you're gonna get a chance to really see what it's like preparing for one of these big concert tours, a lot of it is about the fans," Cowell told MTV News.
The X Factor USA judge also praised the selection of Super Size Me filmmaker Spurlock to oversee the project.
"He's cool, I met him. I think it's going to be amazing," Cowell commented. "He was just such a fan of doing it.
