The tour precedes the premiere of new instalments in the popular 'hip-hop opera', which are set to be released online and on IFC later this week.
The Action Pack, the interactive wing of Drafthouse distribution, has announced plans to show the first 22 chapters of the series at a number of cinemas in the US.
Founder of The Action Pack Henri Mazza said: "I had a chance to host this event at Bonnaroo and at the New York Comic Con this year and the experience of watching 600 R Kelly fans come together as one force to react to the crazy plot twists, sing along to the best lyrics, and wave spatulas in the air along with Rosy the Nosy Neighbour gave me hope that one day the music of R Kelly will be powerful enough to bring the entire world together in peace. Also, it was just an insane amount of fun."
R Kelly recently revealed that he is planning on adapting 'Trapped in the Closet' for a Broadway show. He also claims that the new episodes of 'Trapped in the Closet' are more "tripped out and crazy" than ever.
