Amy Winehouse was pure gold on every take, says Fink

Amy Winehouse was "magnificent", Fink has said.

The musician - real name Fin Greenall - praised the late singer, who he worked with before she was signed.

"Her management needed her to sing on beats to prove she could sound good on track... and they needed someone completely disposable, free, who wouldn't be a pain in the ass afterwards - that was me," he told The Sun.

"We wrote a ton of stuff together - really early works.

"She was magnificent. Every take, even in a crappy basement studio on an old beaten-up microphone, was pure gold. Pure, pure talent just rushing through the cables. She was a huge inspiration for me to sing my own songs too."

The veteran musician recently launched the world's first ever concert app.
