Liam Payne has revealed that One Direction have never exchanged Christmas gifts.

The 'One Thing' star admitted to Parade that he is too "lazy" to buy his bandmates presents.

"I don't think we've ever bought each other a Christmas present," Payne told the magazine. "If it's somebody's birthday, I have to arrange the present - always late because I'm a bit lazy."

He then joked: "I'm not about to become the Christmas Man as well. That's too many jobs."

His bandmate Niall Horan also disclosed that he plans to spend Christmas in County Westmeath, Ireland.

"I'll probably go home to Ireland and do the same thing as every year - drink, eat and sleep a lot," he teased.

Horan then quipped: "[I will] just chill out, become fat. We always go to the pub on Christmas Eve."

One Direction are in the midst of a celebratory week as they have claimed their second US number one album with Take Me Home.
