The pair tweeted ahead of the event: "NEW YORK CITY! To be clear, tonight is only a DJ SET not a show. But you should still come...great cause! #WorldAidsDay".

Chromeo's set included Prince's 'I Wanna Be Your Lover' as well as their own songs 'Bonafied Lovin' and 'Hot Mess'.

Guests at the party, which served up special Belvedere cocktails, included Kelly Rutherford, Alan Cumming, Neon Hitch, Angela Martini, Jessica White and Prodigy.

World AIDS Day raises awareness about the beginning of the end of AIDS, with the aim of eliminating the HIV virus from mothers to their babies and achieving the first AIDS-free generation born by 2015.
