Sir Paul McCartney is reportedly to be the first artist to record an album on the new Starbucks record label.
The Hear Music record label, owned by the coffee shop chain, had previously only released albums of licensed music from other record companies.
According to Gigwise, McCartney said at the Starbucks AGM that the new album would "look to the past and the now" and that his aim was to reach his audience in a new way.
The new album, which McCartney has been working on for a while, is expected to be in music shops by June.
