Jay-Z has released a video of himself explaining who he is to an older member of the public.
The rapper took the New York subway to his show at the new Barclays Centre in Brooklyn back in September when the meet happened.
"Are you famous?" the older lady, named Ellen, asked. "Not very famous, you don't know me," Jay-Z replied.
Fans later pointed out that the older lady is in fact Ellen Grossman, a local well-known artist in the Brooklyn area.
The scene was included as part of Jay-Z's Life + Times documentary, which was released on YouTube earlier today (December 5) to celebrate his 43rd birthday.
