Glassnote Records label boss Daniel Glass revealed that the group will release their fifth studio album in April 2013.

Speaking at an event for Spotify yesterday (December 6), Glass said that Phoenix have told him that the album has been completed in Paris, reports Rolling Stone.

Phoenix have yet to make an official announcement for the new album.

However, the band's website contains artwork with the title "TPC", alongside the headline "Album in Progress".

Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix was highly acclaimed in 2009, and contained the tracks '1901' and 'Lisztomania'.

The album won a Grammy Award for 'Best Alternative Music Album' at the 52nd Grammy Awards in 2010.
