Courtney Love 'not amused' by Nirvana reunion

By
Courtney Love is said to have been unimpressed by the surviving members of Nirvana's collaboration with Sir Paul McCartney at this week's Concert for Sandy Relief.

Kurt Cobain's ex-wife reportedly said that the late John Lennon would have been a more suitable accompaniment for the band than his fellow Beatle, TMZ reports.

The website quotes the former Hole singer as saying she was "not amused" by the performance, adding that "if John were alive it would be cool".

McCartney took to the stage with Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic at the charity gig to perform a new song titled 'Cut Me Some Slack', a result of studio jam sessions between the trio.

Other collaborations at the concert included Eddie Vedder with Roger Waters and Bon Jovi with Bruce Springsteen, as well as a surprise duet between Michael Stipe and Chris Martin.

'Cut Me Some Slack' will appear on the soundtrack to Grohl's upcoming film Sound City Movie.
