The boyband brought out their fourth LP Evolution last month, and will support the album on tour in December 2013.

However, Marvin Humes has revealed that the group aim to release a new album before their next jaunt.

"By the time 2013 rolls round it'll be time for our fifth album," he told the Daily Star.

"This is usually a greatest hits in boyband territory but we don't know if we're ready for that yet. There will definitely be an album next year."

Humes added that JLS aim to stay in touch and relevant with fans, following the rise of other boybands such as One Direction and The Wanted.

"There's a lot of competition for us – not just from other boybands. So we have to stay ahead of the game and stay relevant coming up with new hits.

"We keep trying to make big records."

JLS recently added a further date to next year's tour, which begins in Nottingham on December 4, 2013.

Marvin Humes has reportedly signed with an acting agent for work outside of JLS.
