'Fight For This Love' by Cole from 2009 and this year's 'Call Me Maybe' from Rae Jepsen have become the second and third tracks to hit the mark in 2012, according to the Official Charts Company.
Gotye and Kimbra's 'Somebody That I Used To Know' was the first to reach one million sales in the UK earlier this year.
There have now been 125 million-sellers in the UK since the charts were launched in 1952. The rise of downloads has seen a big increase in the last ten years, as there were only 76 million-sellers back in 2002.
"Many congratulations are due to Carly Rae Jepsen and Cheryl Cole, who have joined Gotye to make it three million sellers this year," said the OCC's Marin Talbot.
"The fact that there has still only been 125 million sellers over the last 60 years indicates just quite how impressive a landmark it is to reach."
The 1990s currently has the most million-sellers in a decade with 32, but the 2010s could surpass that barrier as it has already reached 12.
