Ke$ha's single 'Die Young' has been pulled by several US radio stations in the wake of the recent tragedy at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.

'Die Young' has now been removed from the playlists of several radio stations across the country after being deemed insensitive in light of recent events.

Peaking at number three on the radio after its release on Friday, the song's listenership has now dropped by 19 million people, reports TMZ.

Several movie premieres have also been cancelled or postponed out of respect to the shooting victims, including Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher, and Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained.

Episodes of Family Guy and American Dad have also been pulled from airing.
