The singer is currently on a North American tour promoting her latest album The Spirit Indestructible, which has also failed to make waves in the music charts.
According to The Globe and Mail, Furtado's promoter Live Nation recently moved her January 9 concert at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver to a smaller venue.
Several shows have also been cancelled due to lack of demand, including a scheduled concert at the Ottawa National Arts Centre.
Furtado experienced major success with her 2006 album Loose, which featured the hit songs 'Promiscuous', 'Maneater' and 'Say It Right'.
The 34-year-old recently came out to defend the low album sales of The Spirit Indestructible, saying: "One chart or anything doesn't necessarily [mean everything]... I can't wait to perform [my songs] live. That's my main goal."
