Pharrell Williams: 'Miley Cyrus's new album will sound interesting'

Pharrell Williams has revealed that Miley Cyrus's upcoming album will be "nowhere near what you think".

The songwriter and producer is currently collaborating with Cyrus on her fourth studio album, which he says will sound unlike anything the pop singer has done before.

He told MTV: "Her sound right now is her personality... That's what we've been aiming for in the studio."

The 39-year-old added that the music that Cyrus has produced so far has been "sounding interesting".

Cyrus, whose last album Can't Be Tamed debuted in 2010, was recently quoted saying that she is "making the kind of record [she wants] to make".

There is no word yet on when Cyrus's new album is expected for release.
