The X Factor's Demi Lovato has recorded a cover of Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.

Lovato performed her rendition of Carey's festive hit for the TNT television special Christmas In Washington on Saturday (December 22).

Lovato recorded her performance earlier this month, Just Jared reports.

Lovato had shared her excitement over the event on Twitter, writing: "OH MY GOD.. I just met the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!!! Our First Lady is GORGE. So excited right now!!!

"Such an honour singing for the President and the First Family."
