Band members Ezra Koenig, Rostam Batmanglij, Chris Tomson, and Chris Baio revealed that the yet-to-be-titled album was recorded in New York and Los Angeles, and is co-produced by Ariel Rechtshaid, known for his work with Usher and Major Lazer

In an interview with Q, lead singer Koenig revealed that the new album is "dark" and "organic".

He added: "It really does feel like the third chapter in a book... We created some characters on the first record, some of which are real people, some of which are ourselves, so it's not so hard to keep following them and see what their concerns are now and how their lives have changed."

Vampire Weekend recently debuted their new song 'Unbelievers' during a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
